Jerry Sanchez

“Vision without action is merely a dream; Action without vision just passes the time; Vision with action can change the world.” These words by visionary Joel A. Barker clearly define what Jerry Sanchez set out to do when establishing his company, Sanchez Financial Consultants, Inc. in 1997. His vision, however, beginning many years prior to that.

At an early age, Jerry knew he was a “numbers guy”— always enjoying crunching numbers in school and helping those who weren’t as savvy in the fields of math. Heading to Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) after high school, Jerry set his sights on earning his BBA in Accounting, and upon graduating in 1990, returned to his beloved hometown of Laredo to start his career.

After rising to the top quickly at a local credit union, he took a leap of faith—and as the quote above says—took action to see his vision become a reality of establishing a comprehensive company offering accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and income tax services to both large and small businesses in Laredo.

Jerry’s vision however was a bit different from others. He wanted his company, Sanchez Financial Consultants, Inc., to stand out by offering more to his clients. Along with managing their accounting systems, he set out to educate them on becoming more efficient and effective in reaching their overall earnings and profit goals. He taught his clients how to streamline services, and more importantly, how to grow their business. Soon after, surrounded by a great team of employees—lead by his partner in life and fellow accountant, Angie Sanchez—they soon earned the respect of his industry peers and the many clients representing a wide-range of fields they now service.

With all this success however, Jerry was not yet satisfied, knowing there was much more he could offer his clients. He was determined to use his keen understanding of retirement planning and finance to help people reach their dream of living out their golden years in comfort. With the help of his great team, Sanchez Financial Consultants added Financial Planning to their repertoire of services—and since then have helped hundreds of clients grow their investments substantially—even allowing many to realize the dream of early retirement. It’s a gratifying sense of accomplishment Jerry proudly tells his clients, “Retirement is when you stop living at work and start working at living.”

Jerry and his wife Angie are the proud parents of Joey and Christina. Their kids, along with their angel in Heaven, Little Jerry, are their inspiration to work hard and persevere over any of life’s challenges.
